battle hill 70Billy Bishop Home and Museum, Archives and National Historic Site, invites you to view our new exhibit, "The Hill 70 Travelling Exhibit".

Created by the Hill 70 Memorial Committee, in recognition of the centenary of the Battle of Hill 70, the exhibit will be on display at the Museum for a limited time from July 17 to September 15, 2017.

"The Battle of Hill 70 has become Canada's forgotten victory of the First World War. It was fought in August 1917, a few short months after Vimy Ridge and before the bloodbath at Passchendaele. But Hill 70 was, to quote Sir Arthur Currie, "the only battle honour which the Canadians share with no one," and was an important turning point in the history of the Canadian Corps." – Curator's Guide, The Battle of Hill 70 Travelling Museum Exhibit

Through the use of 3 interpretive panels, the exhibit seeks to highlight some of the stories from the Battle of Hill 70. The panels will be accompanied by items from the Museum's own collection.
