It has just become a lot easier for residents of Grey County and Bruce County to quickly find the essential community services they need. Grey County and Bruce County have joined together with 211 Central East to create Bruce Grey Community Info, a new and easy‑to-use web portal for finding and connecting with services. The new website is now live online at www.brucegreycommunityinfo.cioc.ca/.
Bruce Grey Community Info uses the vast 211 services database. The straightforward layout makes it easy for users to find the right community, health and social services they need that are close to home. Users can do a general search of the entire database, explore categories, or look up services alphabetically.
"Finding the right service can be challenging and stressful, especially during difficult times or when you're in a hurry," said Grey County Warden Alan Barfoot. "The new Bruce Grey Community Info portal makes it easy. Our residents can discover all types of services conveniently, 24 hours a day, seven days a week."
Grey County and Bruce County both support 211 Central East to bring the service to our area. This award-winning telephone helpline and online database acts as a gateway to community, social, non-clinical health and related government services. The new www.brucegreycommunityinfo.cioc.ca is the local extension of this service in the two counties. By connecting people with the right information and services, 211 helps strengthen our communities and improve our quality of life.
"Bruce Grey Community Info and 211 is another example of our two counties coming together to enhance services for our residents," said Bruce County Warden Mitch Twolan. "Together we are supporting healthy and prosperous communities. As a result, families, neighbours and those moving here can proudly call this area home."
