the tide turnsBilly Bishop Home: Museum, Archives & National Historic Site, invites you to come and view our new exhibit, "The Tide Turns", which opens to the public on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 12 pm.

In recognition of the centenary of the Battles of Vimy Ridge, Hill 70 and Passchendaele, the Billy Bishop Home has developed a new exhibit featuring informative panels, items from the Museum's collection and items on loan from CANADIGM, a Canadian company who researches, documents and recreates the images and carvings left by First World War Canadian soldiers in the caves around Vimy, France.

2017 also marks the 100th anniversary of Thomas William "Tommy" Holmes earning his Victoria Cross for his act of bravery during the Battle of Passchendaele on October 26, 1917. Tommy Holmes became the youngest Canadian recipient of the Victoria Cross.

This exhibit opens to the public on September 23, 2017 and runs until August 31, 2018.
