As October 1-7 marks Canada's World Breastfeeding Week, the Grey Bruce Health Unit is asking residents to submit stories and pictures about breastfeeding. Why breastfeeding? Breastfeeding is important for babies, mothers, families and the communities. It means a healthier future for all.

This year's theme focuses on the sustainable qualities of breastfeeding. It is affordable, produces less waste and requires fewer resources to nourish your baby.

Grey Bruce residents are encouraged to share stories and pictures about their breastfeeding experiences. These stories or pictures can be from a mother, grandmother, spouse, partners or any other perspective. We hope you'll share how breastfeeding affects your family and your community?
