Gerry Barrett, an Elvis impersonator originally from Saugeen First Nations will be performing at the James Mason Centre on Saturday, December 2 at 8 p.m. along with The Vegas Thunder Band and local Musicians Gabe Ritchie from Saugeen and Fred Parsons from Owen Sound.
This Elvis is a very popular stand up comedian seen often on Just for Laughs, the Comedy Network, APTN , and the CBC Radio.
He sings his own material in the show and chooses to share his story as a person who desperately wants to reverse the negative stereo types of Indigenous people.
The hour and a half long show includes his comedy routine which covers issues like the 60's scoop, adoption and the importance of education for youth and encouraging them to follow their dreams.

This event is a fundraiser for the 2017 Saugeen Toy Drive and Saugeen Community Projects.
