The Festival of Northern Lights is hosting the annual event of the Festival in the Park on Saturday December 2nd from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm in Harrison Park, admission is by donation. Partnering with the City of Owen Sound, the Festival of Northern Lights is providing a free and fun community event for all to enjoy!
Grab the free shuttle bus that will be running throughout the day at one of the two pick up locations; the Tourism Office at 1155 1st Ave West, or the parking lot at 751 1st Ave East.
Come to Harrison Park where you will be greeted by Mrs. Claus at the hall, aka Mrs. Claus' Kitchen, for cookie decorating, face painting and crafts.
Try your hand at one of our reindeer games outside the hall, see a firetruck and build a birdfeeder with the Sydenham Sportsmen Association. Once again there will be a petting zoo and pony rides to enjoy and what would the Festival in the Park be without a horse drawn wagon ride to visit Santa himself at his cottage?
The Festival of Northern Lights is working closely with other community groups to make this a truly wonderful community event. The Scenic City Lions Club will be selling hot chocolate and coffee in Mrs. Claus' Kitchen. OSHaRE will be making both meat and vegetarian chili and serving it and BBQ hotdogs alongside some of our Owen Sound Firefighters and the Salvation Army.
Help others celebrate the season and bring an unwrapped toy for the Owen Sound Firefighters Toy Drive, or nonperishable food item for the Owen Sound Food Bank.
Hope to see you Saturday at the Festival in the Park!
