Up this week at Owen Sound Field Naturalists is Angie Littlefield: Tom Thomson - Naturalist and Artist on Thursday December 14, 7PM, at the Public Library in Owen Sound. Commemorating Thomson's Nature Art and the contemporary Naturalists who influenced him, Angie Littlefield illustrates in-depth knowledge of Tom Thomson, supported by the work of four prominent Naturalists from his time. Angie was here in the Owen Sound area twice already this year for various events relating to the centenary of Thomson's death. However, in this presentation we will learn more about his own expertise as a naturalist, as well as relatives and acquaintances of his who were known authorities in this field. Admission is free. Donations are welcome.

We are also pleased to announce that tickets (only $5. each) will be available right away, for gift giving, etc., for Earth Day - 2PM Sunday April 22, 2018, featuring the Keynote Address by Adam Shoalts - Author, Naturalist and Explorer - on board the newly renovated MS Chi-Cheemaun.

Celebrating Earth Day and his love for Nature, Adam Shoalts will present "Alone Across Canada's Arctic: A 4,000 km journey through Canada's Northern Wilderness." Shoalts' congenial personality and insatiable curiosity have made him a popular speaker, who is looking forward to his return to Owen Sound, where he hopes to join in other Earth Day activities while he is here next Spring.

This event is made possible by the kind hospitality of the Owen Sound Transportation Company, (OSTC), and the generous sponsorship of Caframo. Tickets will be available at OSFN Club meetings, at the Ginger Press (along with Adam Shoalts' books) and the office of OSTC at Springmount, plus at the Owen Sound Farmers' Market.
