paddonThe Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre is thrilled to receive a donation of six limited edition prints from artist James Paddon. Jim was born and raised in Bruce County, moving from the area in his adult years. Inspired by his roots, Jim has created six original drawings that are reminiscent of a simpler time in the County’s history.

The collection of drawings and paintings include “Barnstormer”, “High School”, “Beachfront Dancehall”, “Last Game”, “Cobblecliff” and “Main Drag”, each are nostalgic and show a simpler time in Bruce County. "I like to reminisce with my drawings and paintings and tell stories that people can relate to" explains Jim.

"The Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre is pleased to accept these prints into the permanent collection and is grateful for the donation from James Paddon” says Cathy McGirr, Director, Museum & Cultural Services. When accepting donations for the Museum, Archives and Collections consider the history and significance each item plays in Bruce County history, as the Collection focuses on the vibrant history of the County.

BCM&CC maintains an extensive collection of Bruce County artist work, these pieces are cared for and stored within the environmentally controlled storage area.
