On December 15 and 16, come to Moreston Heritage Village for an old fashioned Christmas! The museum and historic buildings will be open and dressed in seasonal decor. This event is a truly unique holiday experience for all ages and has become a well-loved annual tradition.

Our attendance for this event has been steadily increasing over the last five years, and in 2017 we were delighted to welcome nearly 1400 guests through our doors. In order to make sure all of our guests have a safe and enjoyable evening, we have made some changes for this year's event.

This event now takes place over two nights. Join us from 4-8 pm on either Saturday, December 15 or Sunday, December 16.

We are offering advance ticket purchases, online through Eventbrite or in person at the Grey Roots front desk. Having advance ticket sales will allow us to more accurately predict attendance numbers for both nights, so we can better accommodate our guests and ensure the best possible holiday experience.

Tickets are the same price as regular admission and can be purchased at MORESTONBYCANDLELIGHT.EVENTBRITE.CA or by stopping in at Grey Roots, Monday through Saturday, between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. While this event is free for Grey Roots Members, we are encouraging members to still let us know what night they plan on attending by RSVPing in person, over the phone at 519-376-3690, or by email at [email protected].

This year's event will feature:
- Free horse drawn sleigh rides around the village by Dual Acres
- All village buildings open and staffed with costumed volunteers
- Live Christmas music and sing-along carols
- Cookies and hot apple cider
- Games and crafts

Indoor galleries will be open for exploration, and holiday films will be playing in the theatre.
