Collage of students learning in forest

forestfestival
The 8th Annual Bruce Grey Forest Festival is taking place Tuesday Oct. 1st to Thursday Oct. 3rd.  This is an opportunity to discover why the great outdoors are so great.

Over 900 Grade 7 students from across Bruce County and Grey County will be participating. The Festival will provide hands-on, curriculum-based opportunities for students to explore and learn about our local forest resources.
Industry representatives and secondary school students will host activities at Allan Park Conservation Area, Municipality of West Grey.  There will be 29 different activity stations set up through-out the forests of the Conservation Area which will include investigations into invasive species, forest management, tree identification, climate change and much, much more!

The Bruce Grey Forest Festival aims to foster respect for our environment, and appreciation and stewardship of our forest resources.
You are invited to come between 10am and 2pm and please check in at the registration tent first. This is an outdoor (rain or shine) event so dress accordingly and wear proper footwear for hiking.
Explore your local forests!
