points of light TBTNA series of local ‘Take Back the Night’ themed events this March and April will raise funds to benefit The Women's Centre Grey & Bruce, a safe place free of suffering from abuse, harassment and assault, for local women and their children.

The ‘Points of Light’ fundraiser consists of:
● March 26th ‘Art Night’ fundraiser with raffle,
● April 8th to 30th art exhibition and silent auction at downtown Owen Sound Grey Gallery,
● and an evening event April 30th to end the auction and unite community members in promoting freedom from sexual violence.

Take Back the Night is a global movement and series of events that seeks to end sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual abuse and all forms of sexual violence.

Events are typically held twice annually, in April and October. April events are themed “Points of Light’ worldwide and are designed to bring communities together to demonstrate their support for survivors of sexual violence.

March 26th Art Night promises a fun, creative night out—with a philanthropic twist

Tickets are on sale now for a special March 26th ‘Art Night’ with local mural artist Billy Goodkat, in which participants will create a ‘Points of Light’ themed painting. Each piece of artwork will become part of the ‘Points of Light’ exhibition and silent auction fundraiser.

Participating painters have the opportunity to win raffle prizes donated by local fundraiser sponsors Sauble Golf & Country Club, Walter’s Falls Inn, Kokoro, Jazzmyn’s, The Curry House, Pro Fan Shop, The Ginger Press, The Bleeding Carrot, Crowns and Fades Barber Shop & Salon, Sail Restaurant, and Sizzlin’ Restaurant. This fundraising Art Night is sponsored by Grey Gallery, Billy Goodkat, and Miranda Miller; proceeds from the $65 early bird (or $75 regular) ticket price are donated to the fundraiser.

Tickets are available at www.billygoodkat.com or by emailing [email protected]. Each ticket includes Art Night entry and painting supplies, food and beverage, and three ‘Points of Light’ raffle tickets.
