Families for Autism along with the Meaford Fire Department are proud to host a Sensory Friendly Fire Hall Visit.
This an incredible opportunity for autistic children/adults, individuals with anxiety, and young children to meet & learn about First Responders in a calm setting to help create & nurture a positive relationship and image of first responders ahead of any potential emergency situation.
Families are invited to meet their local Fire Fighters, EMS, and OPP - check out their uniforms & gear, and participate in activities such as seeing the fire station, and doing a truck / ambulance / cruiser tour in a relaxed and controlled setting.
This is a complimentary event however registration is recommended so we can estimate participation prior to the day.
During the event, it is expected that children stay under the supervision of a parent/guardian/caregiver at all times.
