- Plan your meals a week in advance, even if your budget doesn't allow you to purchase that much food, having a plan and a list will shorten or eliminate browsing time.
- Try to coordinate trips with friends and neighbours so that one of you does the shopping for multiple households, thus reducing the number of people in the store.
- Do Not Bring Small Children
- Only touch products you know you're going to buy.
- Be mindful of staff and ask a store clerk about the checkout procedures if you're unsure.
- Have patience and wait in the designated areas until you are called up to unload your cart. We are required to clean between customers as much as possible.
- If you see another customer behaving aggressively toward a staff member, please speak up or ask to talk to a manager and tell them about the incident.
- Remember that as uncomfortable as you feel with this new atmosphere in the grocery store, staff are in it from 4 to 8 hours a day, or more.
