sewingmasks

- by Barbara Moffat

“I wish i knew how to help” “I wish there was something I could do” “I don’t know how to help” are just some of the comments I have heard from people who have purchased masks from me.

Well never underestimate yourselves. Together we helped our community.

I sewed, you purchased my masks, some of you left me the most kindhearted notes, coffee, candy, ziplock bags, and a lot of you left a little extra money! Some of you dug deep in your closets and storage bins to donate material and thread... some of you passed my name along to help spread the word of the masks. We may not be the community with fashion forward masks but we are a community wearing “big hearted community masks”.

I gave up counting how many masks I made, and focused on the goal for Chapman House... my goal was $2000..
Well folks we did it, we blew that goal outta the water! Together we have raised $5055.05 ( every single nickel counts).

I thank every single one of you... and “donna” thank you,  but I am not a hero  - we are all heroes.

Pat yourselves on the back, feel proud of what we have done. You are amazing. Stay safe!
