The Meaford Museum will once again be welcoming visitors to experience local history as of Thursday July 30th, 2020.
The Meaford Museum displays various artifacts and collections about our local and national history. There are four rooms to explore and learn about our area, covering the whole Municipality of Meaford including the former Townships of St. Vincent and Sydenham.
The Museum layout has changed due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The number of visitors at one time will be limited, and we are asking all visitors to wear masks in accordance with the Medical Officer of Health’s Order. Visitors will follow directional arrows that guide you through the exhibits rather than wandering freely. Following our normal practice, visitors are not permitted to touch exhibit items, and the General Store section where you can purchase locally made goods and souvenirs has also been reduced to limit multi-touch surfaces.
The Museum will be open Thursday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays. For more information on Museum Services, visit www.meafordmuseum.ca.
We look forward to welcoming you back to share in our history in the making!
