Grey Bruce Health Services is offering appointments this weekend, Saturday, October 3 and Sunday, October 4, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to address the high volume of people waiting for an appointment.

To book an appointment go to www.gbhs.on.ca or call the COVID-19 Booking Line at 519-367-1466. The test takes five minutes per person. At this time, results take about four days to be returned. Walk-ins are not being accepted. If you need to cancel an appointment, please do so online, or by calling the booking number to free up that appointment for others waiting to be tested.

When coming for an appointment, come directly to the Assessment Centre. Do not arrive more than 5 minutes prior to your appointment to help reduce congestion in the parking area, and bring your own mask.

Testing is recommended for those who are symptomatic, and anyone who has been instructed by Public Health to get a test. Provincial regulations also require those visiting any long-term care facility to be tested within two-weeks of their visit.

GBHS is continuing to work on options to expand access to COVID-19 testing, and will provide updates when more information is available.
