GB OHT logoThe Grey-Bruce Ontario Health Team (GB OHT) is pleased to announce the hiring of Jennifer Kehoe into the role of Transformation Lead.

Jennifer brings extensive experience and knowledge to the OHT in the areas of system integration and project management and understands the local healthcare system well. Jennifer spent the last four years with the South West Local Health Integration Network as a Health System Planner, and during that period also played a key role in assisting the LHIN with identifying digital health priorities and opportunities within the South West healthcare system. Closer to home, Jennifer was a Project Manager with Grey Bruce Health Services, and was a co-lead on the North Grey Bruce Health Links project with the Owen Sound Family Health Team.

Jennifer starts her new role with the OHT on November 16, 2020, and will support the OHT as it advances into the next phase of the application process to become an OHT. In July of this year,
the Ministry of Health announced that 17 organizations were approved to submit a full application to become an OHT, including the Grey Bruce OHT.

This next phase of the process includes extensive physician and community engagement, and Jennifer will be instrumental in developing a robust process for enabling collaboration among the
GB OHT members and partners, and ensuring stakeholders and the broader community are consulted, engaged and informed about the goals and objectives of the OTH. Jennifer will also
coordinate the submission of the application to the Ministry.

“We are excited to have Jennifer onboard with us and to ensure the processes are in place to fully engage our partners, and develop goals that will best serve the health needs of our communities,” said Dana Howes, who, along with Gerry Glover Co-Chairs the GB OHT Planning Committee.

The first year focus of the GB OHT is centered on care transitions for frail seniors and patients who are coping with mental health and addictions issues. Bringing more coordination among providers who care for patients in these areas will lead to better health outcomes, and a more seamless experience for patients and families.
