The Meaford Council meeting scheduled for Monday January 11, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. will be held virtually due to the Provincial Shutdown.

If a member of the public wishes to make a deputation on items on the Council agenda or ask a public question of Council, they may do so remotely via phone or internet. To make a deputation or ask a public question, please register with Legislative Services in advance by 10:00 a.m. on January 11, 2021 by contacting [email protected].

Throughout the Provincial Shutdown, waste services in the Municipality of Meaford will operate as usual, with bag tags continuing to be required on all waste bags put out for curbside pickup.

While the Municipal Administration office is closed to the public except for urgent issues, bag tags are available at many essential service locations. Retailers include:

We ask everyone to keep following our guidelines for garbage pickup. Residents can put out a maximum of 3 tagged bags weighing under 40lbs each, and they must be at the curb by 7:00 a.m.

Please also continue to ensure that all material placed in garbage bins and green bins is properly bagged, specifically cleaning products such as wipes, tissues, napkins and other sanitary/hygiene products.
