Conseil scolaire catholique Providence is pleased to announce the appointment of Vanessa Kaboré as Human Rights and Equity Advisor. This new position is part of Csc Providence’s efforts to ensure a school and work environment that encourages students and the school community to realize their full potential.

In addition to several years of experience as a private trainer/coach in the area of mindset change, Vanessa Kaboré holds a master’s degree in law and has acquired solid expertise in ethics and rules of professional conduct at various public protection agencies.

The school board’s Director of Education, Joseph Picard, is confident that “Mrs. Kaboré’s legal experience and expertise in investigations, interpersonal relations and capacity building will be significant assets for human rights and equity within the greater Csc Providence community.”

As a human rights and equity advisor, Vanessa Kaboré will develop and consolidate relevant policies and procedures. Her work will consist of raising awareness and training Csc Providence employees and other stakeholders. She will also make recommendations vis-à-vis concerns and complaints received from students, parents, staff and other members of the school community.

Mrs. Kaboré will begin her new position on March 1st, 2021.

The Conseil scolaire catholique Providence serves an area that measures more than 28,819 square kilometres and extends from Windsor to Woodstock. It encompasses the Grey-Bruce and Huron-Perth regions, including Owen Sound's L'École catholique élémentaire et secondaire Saint-Dominique-Savio
