bruce power at nightA new post-secondary scholarship will provide an Ontario undergraduate university or college student with $3,500 to assist with their future studies.

The new Ontario Energy Network (OEN)-Bruce Power Nuclear Studies Scholarship will be available for a post-secondary student in Ontario who has successfully completed at least one year of study in a science, engineering, technology, IT or business discipline, and who also demonstrates a commitment to community service.

“Bruce Power is proud to team up with the Ontario Energy Network to identify and assist worthy post-secondary students in Ontario,” said Pat Dalzell, Bruce Power’s Head of Corporate Affairs. “Our hope is that the scholarship recipient will explore career opportunities in the Ontario nuclear energy sector once they complete their studies.”

John Loucks, the OEN’s President and CEO, is pleased to offer the new OEN-Bruce Power Nuclear Studies Scholarship.

“To ensure continued success, the energy industry needs to attract a talented and diverse workforce, and the OEN is proud that many of our past winners have found rewarding careers in Ontario’s energy sector,” Loucks said.

The Ontario Energy Network is a not-for-profit organization which provides networking opportunities to leaders and emerging leaders of the energy industry in Ontario, as well as supporting charitable initiatives and the scholarship program.
