Construction for sixteen more units of housing on Owen Sound's east side got a step closer as the site plan came to council for approval.

The development includes the construction of four buildings, each containing four-townhouse dwelling units. These cluster townhouse units are accessed via an internal T-shaped private lane that connects to a public road (14th Street East) and this private lane will not be assumed by the City.

Development charges of just under $100,000 will be deferred as part of the council's strategy to incentivize developers to build purpose-built rental housing.
