counsellingThe Women’s Centre Grey Bruce is pleased to announce it is offering enhanced services through its newly created Clinical Counsellor position. Made possible by a Government of Canada Women and Gender Equality Canada grant, women in the community who have experienced abuse can access this counselling service free of charge.

Carlie Freiburger, a registered social worker, has been with The Women’s Centre as a VAW Crisis Worker since 2018, and has now transitioned to her new Clinical Counsellor role. Carlie will offer counselling services to women and children, including women who have experienced partner abuse, mothers needing support in developing parenting skills, and youth who have experienced abuse or trauma. Women seeking Carlie’s support can contact her directly at [email protected] or 519-376-0755 ext. 104.

The Women’s Centre remains open during the current stay-at-home order. We continue to provide 24-hour service including emergency shelter, counselling, crisis line support, safety planning, and advocacy to women and children in the Grey Bruce community.
