The Municipality of Meaford will be celebrating Canada Day virtually this year, and we hope you join us! By visiting http://www.meaford.ca/CanadaDay, you'll find fun and activities for the whole family.
The Municipality of Meaford has received a grant in the amount of $4,680 from the Ministry of Canadian Heritage for our 2021 Canada Day celebrations. "This year is a special one! We are providing a virtual Canada Day celebration and working with many different local Meaford partners to deliver made-in-Meaford experiences" said Special Events and Marketing Coordinator Jennifer Brebner.
These festivities are available through the Meaford website and include music, family activities, how-to videos, and more. There will also be a flag raising via livestream at 10:00 a.m. on July 1st, including special award presentations from the Meaford Rotary Club and Chamber of Commerce.
"We are excited to celebrate Canada's 153rd after cancelling the event last year. This year we will celebrate virtually" said Janet Sperling, Manager of Strategic Initiatives.
You can take part by showing off your Canada Day spirit and telling us why you Love It Here on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Post your best photo and favourite things about Meaford using #LiveLoveMeaford, and you could win a local prize pack!
