Do you know an outstanding individual who helped shape our community through volunteerism? Nominate them for the Municipality of Meaford's Community Builder Award to show your appreciation.
Nominations are now being accepted for the 2021 Community Builder Award. This award is presented each year to outstanding individuals who have helped shape and promote the municipality through their devotion to volunteering on behalf of Meaford and its residents. The first recipients were Marilyn and Richard Morris in 2019 in recognition of their volunteer contributions of over 20 years through the Scarecrow Invasion and Family Festival. The award was not issued in 2020 due to COVID-19, but we are once again looking forward to recognizing the efforts of community volunteers in 2021.
To submit your nomination visit http://www.meaford.ca/communitybuilder, or pick up a nomination form at the Administration office located at 21 Trowbridge Street West.
Nominations are due by Monday July 5, 2021. Meaford Council will then review the nominations and select a recipient. The award will be presented at a volunteer appreciation event scheduled for Wednesday August 18, 2021. More details on the event will be released in late July as plans are formalized to meet with provincial health requirements and the Roadmap to Reopen.
