Owen Sound Transit is extending service until 9 p.m. on Thursday, June 11th during the TORONTO 2015 Torch Relay Community Celebration. The event, taking place from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre South Parking Lot, marks the arrival of the Pan Am Torch Relay in Owen Sound.

All normal transit fares will apply for the special extended services after 6 p.m. Buses for all four routes will leave from the Bayshore Community Centre at 8:30 p.m. The Bus Terminal will close at 8 p.m. Those patrons requiring specialized transit services should make their arrangements in the usual manner.

Limited vehicle parking will be available in the North Parking Lot at the Bayshore Community Centre and the Grey Bruce Health Unit. People living in the local area are encouraged to walk or bike to the Celebration site if possible.

As the Torch Relay makes its way through downtown Owen Sound, there will be rolling road closures along the route between 6:20 to 7 p.m. (see Torch Relay route above). The torch will make its way from 9th Avenue East down 6th Street East and then head across 2nd Avenue East to the Bayshore Community Centre.
