The Town of South Bruce Peninsula is pleased to advise that it has purchased 672 Main Street, Sauble Beach (Medical Centre building).

The Bannister family donated the property in 2007 for a medical clinic. It was recently listed on the open market prompting the Town to acquire the property to secure long term medical services for our community.

The Town will work closely with Bruce County EMS, with the intent to build an ambulance bay at the facility to further enhance public safety in the Sauble Beach area.

The Town will purchase the Medical Centre Building through long-term debt financing and use revenues obtained from leaseholders to offset the financing costs.

“Access to healthcare in a rural community can be challenging, we are so fortunate to have a medical centre that can serve our residents while covering the debenture costs through lease payments” says Mayor Janice Jackson.
