Holland Chatsworth Central School parents received assurance over the weekend from the Principal, Tracy Dinsmore, that their child had received education from a qualified educator throughout the day Friday, and was safe at all times.

Today they received the brief text that, due to "operational issues", the school is closed today.

The first message was in response to job action by a number of teachers and education assistants on Friday and remained outside the school. They expressed concern about the number of Covid-19 cases in the school community, and whether it was safe for people to return to school after 10 days isolation, before receiving a negative test result.

St. Mary's High School in Owen Sound has moved to virtual learning until the new year, and OSDSS in Owen Sound has two cohorts dismissed from school.
