On February 4, GoFundMe started refunding money donated to the cross-country Convoy, their reasoning being "We now have evidence from law enforcement that the previously peaceful demonstration has become an occupation, with police reports of violence and other unlawful activity".

Within a day, the GiveSendGo platform started collecting, reaching $8.7US million by the time a group hacked and released a list of its 92,845 donors.  52% of those donations come from Canadians, with  $37,904  donated by 338 of our Grey County neighbours.
