Bruce Power and the Ontario Energy Network (OEN) have teamed up to provide an Ontario undergraduate university or college student with a $3,500 scholarship to assist with their studies.
The OEN-Bruce Power Nuclear Studies Scholarship will be granted to an Ontario student who has successfully completed at least one year of study in a science, engineering, technology, IT or business discipline, and who has demonstrated a commitment to community service.
“Bruce Power offers a number of scholarships to help ensure a pipeline of diverse talent in the nuclear sector,” said Pat Dalzell, Bruce Power’s Head of Corporate Affairs. “Our hope is that the scholarship recipient will explore a career in the Ontario nuclear energy sector once they complete their studies.”
The OEN also has other scholarships available, including those for women in energy, Indigenous people in energy, and sustainable development. OEN scholarships are part of the Electro-Federation Canada Scholarship program, which offers over $160,000 in scholarships. Information about all of the OEN scholarships, as well as others offered through the Electrofed Canada Scholarship Program, can be found at https://scholarship.electrofed.com/.
Applications are open now and will close on May 31, 2022.
OEN is a not-for-profit organization which provides networking opportunities in support of the energy industry in Ontario, as well as supporting charities important to the sector and an industry-focused scholarship program.
