BruceCountyMuseum and CC
The Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre’s Muse-Talks Academic Lecture series kicks off on March 9 at 7:30 PM with guest speaker Chad Richards, Director of the Bruce Power Centre for New Nuclear & Net Zero Partnerships at the Nuclear Innovation Institute, for a discussion on environmentalism and the future.

In this evening lecture, Chad will discuss the effects of a changing climate, which have triggered global pledges to reach net-zero carbon emissions and are causing seismic shifts in the way humans consume energy. One of the solutions? Electrify everything. From increased levels of emissions-free electricity generation to new ways of storing energy, an increasingly electrified future is on the horizon. This discussion will focus on our collective commitment to reaching net zero and the pathways to get there.
A question period will follow with time for attendees to share ideas and opinions and socialize. Admission is $12 for members, and $15 for the public. Doors open at 7:00 PM and refreshments will be available by cash bar.

This is the first of three 60-minute lectures in the Muse-Talks series delivered by local academics and researchers, all inspired by faculties of STEM, Humanities, and Fine Arts.
