Municipal staff wants to hear what you would like to see at the Skateboard Park. Public Meetings will be held from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday May 25 and Thursday May 26 at the Skateboard Park located at 57 Richmond Street in Meaford.
The current Skateboard Park was built in 1996 and has been upgraded in 2006. As part of the 2022 budget, Council approved funding to replace some of the current equipment that is reaching the end of its useful life and add new equipment to the Skateboard Park to ensure it continues to be maintained and improved for everyone to enjoy for years to come.
“The Skateboard Park is a popular facility for youth. We’re relying on the feedback of our park users to make sure those who use and value the park have a say in what it offers” said Manager of Parks and Facilities Rod Willis.
The meetings will offer the public a chance to check out the existing equipment, ask questions and give their input on the future of the Skateboard Park.
There is more than one way to provide your input. If you are unable to attend the meetings you can also provide feedback through a survey. The survey asks questions like what equipment is important, what you would like to see at the park and more! The Survey will be available until June 5, 2022. The survey results and public meetings will help our team prepare a final design and implement the improvements this year.
