June is Recreation and Parks Month, also known as ‘JRPM’ and staff from the Parks, Recreation and Culture Department encourage you to check out our fantastic parks and facilities during the month of June with a scavenger hunt around town and a party at Blue Dolphin Pool to celebrate the Longest Day of Play. 

This month explore our many great parks and facilities with a scavenger hunt and create some awesome memories with friends and family. Gather up the kids and pick up a JRPM Scavenger Hunt Passport Card from the Meaford Hall located at 12 Nelson Street East, the Meaford Public Library, located at 11 Sykes Street North, or the Meaford and St. Vincent Community Centre located at151 Collingwood Street West. Follow the prompts on the card and have a great adventure this month. When you are done, simply return the completed card to the above-mentioned locations. Participants will be entered into a draw to win a JRPM gift basket. Deadline for submissions is June 30 at 3:00 pm.

To top off the month long campaign, join in the fun on Tuesday June 21, 2022 at the Blue Dolphin Pool from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm and celebrate the Longest Day of Play. Enjoy a FREE swim and pizza sponsored by Bayside Chrysler and New Orleans Pizza in Meaford. The event also includes great activities on site, including a story walk brought to you by the Meaford Public Library, a slip n’ slide by the Meaford Fire Department, music by Grey Noise and a cool treat donated by Chapman’s Ice Cream.
