FASD

On FASD ( Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder)  Day, Friday, September 9,  the  Southwest Ontario Aboriginal Health Access Centre will  celebrate the official opening of DOOKJIIKAHN  FASD assessment and diagnostic clinic in Grey Bruce.

DookjiiKahn – which means “A place to look for and to find answers” in Anishinaabemowin – is the first community-based, culturally safe, best practices driven, trauma-informed, healthy outcomes focused FASD assessment and diagnostic clinic in Grey Bruce.

Many people in our area have worked hard over the years to bring awareness to FASD. For literally decades, tireless advocates have tried to make FASD assessment and diagnosis locally accessible. DookjiiKahn is the realization of their dream to provide these services here in Grey and Bruce counties.

You are invited to celebrate history in the making on FASD Day 2022 – September 9 @ 1pm. at 733 9th Avenue East.
