The Experimental Acres program pays farmers in Grey, Wellington and Dufferin counties to adopt best management practices for soil health and carbon sequestration.
The Experimental Acres program is expanding to Grey County in 2023 and is seeking six farms to participate. There is just one week left to apply. DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS: January 11, 2023
The pilot program is designed to facilitate low risk learning and prepare farmers for larger funding opportunities in the future. In addition to financial support, the program offers soil testing and community building events.
Project categories include crops/planting, animals/grazing, and other innovations, with funding of up to $3,000 available. More details here.
