At a special council meeting on Thursday, Jan. 19, West Grey council voted unanimously to keep the West Grey Police Service.  

The Municipality of West Grey requested proposals from eligible policing services following direction from council in December 2021. MNP Consultants was also retained to analyze the submissions, collect community input and provide an analysis of policing service options for West  Grey.  

The Ontario Provincial Police and the West Grey Police Service were both given the opportunity to present their service proposals and service overviews at a special council meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 18. MNP presented their analysis at the January 19 special  council meeting.
