Billy Bishop Museum's Director and Chief Curator Emily Jolliffe has accepted a position with the Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum. Friday, June 9, will be her last day at Billy Bishop Museum.
Since 2018, Emily has made many friends and connections within our community including veterans, newcomers to Canada, students, and teachers collaborating on curating exhibits that have made an impact in our community. She interviewed numerous local veterans to reveal their stories of service and presented keepsake plaques during Honouring Our Local Veterans ceremonies.
Emily has done so much, but we would like to highlight one of her biggest accomplishments – she brought the museum forward by digitizing our collection and making our artifacts accessible online to the public.
Goodbye, Thank You and Good Luck Emily! We will miss you and wish the best in your new position.
Stop by the museum tomorrow from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. to say goodbye, and enjoy refreshments and cake.
