This Thursday, October 8, Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound speaks up for Canadian values of welcome and inclusion with an event called "Together in Community".
Honouring difference is built into Canadian institutions. Respect for others is a fundamental Canadian value. During the last two months, however, differences in cultural practice have been made a wedge issue in our Canadian community.
Thursday evening at 6pm all are invited to a circle of conversation to mark our intention to bridge differences and build inclusive community.
This conversation will take place at the peace garden of St. George's Church, 10th St and 4th Ave, Owen Sound. The gathering will last until 6:40. After that is the Federal All Candidates Meeting called "What exactly are Women's Issues?" at 7pm in the St. George's Church Hall.
All are welcome to join in this sharing time as our community builds inclusion and respect.
