While we never wanted to have to share this news, Sharif Rahman died peacefully early this morning. All our thoughts are with his extended family and those many who knew and loved him

You are invited to walk again in peace and respect on Sunday, meeting again at city hall at 8:00 p.m., walking the same route as Wednesday to the Farmers' Market.

We are trying to support downtown residents and workplaces while intruding as little as possible on their lives and businesses.

There will be no speeches. Silence is not an expectation, but we hope you will allow others quiet space with their own thoughts, prayers and grief as you process your own.

May the Almighty grant Sharif Jannatul firdaus.   Rest in paradise.
