On Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 11:00AM at the United Way of Bruce Grey, 380 9th Street East, Owen Sound, the ‘March Together’ committee announced the 4th annual ‘March Together’. The March Together committee includes six host organizations, Canadian Mental Health Association – Brunch Program; OSHaRE – Hot Meal Program; Safe ‘n Sound – Housing Crisis Support; The Salvation Army – Food Bank; United Way of Bruce Grey – Utility Program; YMCA - Housing Support Services.
On Saturday, March 5th, these six local organizations will partner together to host the 4th annual ‘March Together’, a fundraising walkathon being held from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm at the Heritage Place Shopping Centre in Owen Sound.
This event is being held to bring awareness to poverty in Grey and Bruce Counties and to raise funds for the emergency support services needed to help people in crisis, from the hungry to the homeless. Event participants will be encouraged to register as teams of two or more and collect pledges. The net proceeds will be shared equally by the six host organizations to support their community programs.
