BGOS LiberalsGrey Bruce Federal Liberals held their Annual General Meeting in Meaford on April 30. "This is a great time to be a Liberal," said guest speaker Murray Calder from Holstein and three-time Member of Parliament. "I'm confident we can win the next election in Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound."

The newly elected President is Mary Anne Alton, long time Liberal and former Bluewater District School Board Director. "Residents of BGOS have seen the positive impact of a Liberal government whose members represent and celebrate the diversity that makes our country strong. As the local president, I look forward to working with the Liberal team in Bruce Grey to build on the momentum of the 2015 election and ensure that our next MP will join the strong Liberal team in Ottawa," she said.

Meghan Lipka, who served as Campaign Manager in the past election, was acclaimed as Executive Vice President. Edward Barker was acclaimed as Treasurer, Barbara Smith as General Secretary, Anne Marie Watson as VP Fundraising, Bob Hope as VP Membership and Amanpreet Sidhu as VP Policy.

Thirteen positions for Director were filled by Bill VanWyck, Richard Thomas, Natasha Akiwenzie, Janis Sideris, Harneet Dhillon, Jean Paul Caron, Liam Kelly, Jake Doherty, Don Hill, Anne Robertson, Jim Murray, Andrea Stenberg and Deborah Thompson.

Kathie Brown, who ran for president, is an Ex-Officio member in the role of Seniors' Commission Chair. Other Ex-Officio members are Peggy Hutchison, Past President, Jeff Dean, Provincial Liberals, Pat Farrar, Women's Commission and Kimberley Love, Past Candidate.
