Collection for disposal of old and unused prescription medication occurs throughout Ontario on Saturday May 21st, 2016. This initiative provides an opportunity for residents to discard those medications in a safe and environmentally friendly manner. Clearing your medicine cabinets of these prescriptions can also help reduce drugs being available for possible diversion and accidental poisonings.
Residents wishing to dispose of any medications can bring them to the Owen Sound Police Station, 922 2nd Avenue West, on Saturday May 21st, 2016 between 1pm and 3pm.
The Owen Sound Police remind residents to properly store their medication and ensure that they are only used by those they are intended for.
