The SAVE OSCVI group will be holding a Town Hall meeting this Wednesday, June 8 to update the public on the next stage of its fight to save the school from closure this spring. The meeting will be held at the Owen Sound Legion on Wednesday evening from 7pm to 9pm, and according to the media release its purpose is to "give local residents an opportunity to learn more about what's happening with the battle to save the school, including the presentation of the petition at Queen's Park, the status of the appeal, and fundraising efforts".  Although no details were available about how the money raised is to be used, Kerrie Lent, an OSCVI parent and one of the organizers of the SAVE OSCVI group says they are "currently seeking legal assistance to pursue next steps."
Bill Murdoch, an OSCVI alumnus and former MPP for Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound will be speaking at the meeting along with a "special guest speaker to talk about how communities can make their voices heard".

There will be a question period for the public. The meeting is open to any interested members of the community.
