On September 13, at about 6:40 am, Grey County Ontario Provincial Police responded to a collision involving a Dodge Ram pick-up truck and a cyclist on Grey Road 112, also known as Range Road in the municipality of Meaford.

The pick-up truck and the cyclist were both travelling northbound on Grey Rd 112 when the collision occurred.

The cyclist, a 55-year-old Meaford man, was taken to hospital and was later air-lifted to a London hospital where he is in critical condition.

The pick-up truck driver, a 57-year-old Owen Sound man, called 911 and provided first aid to the victim until paramedics and emergency personnel arrived.

The investigation is ongoing.
