On November 15, 2016 at 3:53 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a vehicle entering the waters of Lake Huron from the north pier of the Kincardine Harbour. The OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit (USRU) along with the South Bruce OPP Marine Unit located the vehicle. It was removed from the water by a local crane on November 16, 2016 at 2:54 p.m...

The deceased body of a 67-year-old Kincardine woman was also recovered from the water. Foul play is not suspected.
