Bluewater District School Board's key initiatives and achievements of the past year were highlighted at the January 24, 2017 Regular Meeting of the Board as Director of Education Steve Blake presented his annual report.
This year's Director's Annual Report focuses on the important work that is being accomplished in the four strategic priority areas of Bluewater District School Board's Multi-Year Strategic Plan. A small sampling of the many highlights featured in the report includes, the expansion of mental health and wellness strategies for students and staff, the launch of a demonstration classroom for educator
training related to Autism Spectrum Disorder, School Council initiatives to foster parent and student engagement, the board's efforts to reduce underutilized school space, and recent successful community partnerships.
"The Director's Annual Report provides an opportunity to update and inform the public on our board's progress in achieving the goals we have mapped out in each of our strategic priority areas. I invite all stakeholders in our school communities to read about some of the amazing work and stories of excellence from the past year thanks to the efforts of many," says Director of Education Steve Blake.
