golden pheasantDuring the overnight hours of Wednesday April 19th and the morning of April 20th, 2017 an unknown person(s) approached the bird-stalls in Harrison Park and forced the door inward exposing two golden pheasants that were lying within.

The Owen Sound Police Service were called after staff at the park alerted the police about the mischief and also reported that the two golden pheasants were missing from their coop. The two birds were located in a lifeless state a short distance away. It is uncertain how the pheasants met their final demise; however foul play is currently being investigated as a contributing factor in this incident.

Birds in adjacent stalls were accounted for and their coops were undamaged.

The Criminal Investigations Branch has been assigned to the case and seeks the assistance of the public. If you were in Harrison Park between the hours of 5:00 pm on Wednesday April 19 and 9:00 a.m on Wednesday April 20, 2017 and saw any mischief being done in the area of the stalls please call 519-376-1234, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222- 8477(TIPS) or submit a secure web tip at www.cstip.ca
