police-os-fullOn 29 May 2017 at approximately 3:45pm the Owen Sound Police responded to the intersection of 10th Street East and 4th Avenue East regarding a motor vehicle collision.

The investigation revealed that a 2003 Dodge Durango being driven by a 68 year old female from Georgian Bluffs was west bound on 10th Street East. The 68 year old female attempted to make a left hand turn onto 4th Avenue East and drove across the path of an east bound 2014 Kia driven by a 29 year old female from Shallow Lake.

There were no injuries as a result of the collision however both vehicles needed to be towed from the scene. The 2014 Kia sustained major damage while the Durango received moderate damage.

The 68 year old female was charged with making an unsafe left turn.

Fail to remain motor vehicle collision UPDATE:

Police have concluded their investigation regarding a fail to remain which occurred on the west side of Owen Sound on May 26, 2017. As a result, on 29 may 2017 police arrested a 19 year old male of no fixed address. He has been charged with numerous offences including; take motor vehicle without consent and dangerous driving.

The male was held in custody pending a bail hearing on May 30th.
