safe-swim-fullWater samples taken at Lions Head Beach show results within acceptable levels according to Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care standards.

The Grey Bruce Health Unit took samples on Tuesday, August 5th, 2014. Based on these results, the beach, which was posted as unsafe on July 30, 2014, is now deemed safe for bathing.

Although this latest sample result shows acceptable results the public is reminded that water conditions can change quickly. High winds and heavy rain are likely to have an adverse impact on water quality.
