Public Health says thank you for your assistance.

The Grey Bruce Health Unit was seeking assistance from the public in finding the owner of a dog involved in a biting incident that occurred in Owen Sound.

On Thursday, June 8, at approximately 6:30 pm, a woman was bitten by a dog as she was walking on the gravel trail at the Grey Sauble Conservation Authority property on Inglis Falls Road.  The dog's name is Daisy and was in the care of a man when the incident occurred.

Staff of the Grey Bruce Health Unit needed to confirm the dog is not infectious with rabies. By verifying the health of the dog, the victim  avoided receiving the post-exposure rabies treatment.
