Dr DeliallisiA two-day Radiothon in support of 92.3 the Dock's "Radio for Oncology" project raised more than $32,000 to improve cancer care at Grey Bruce Health Services' Owen Sound Regional Hospital.

"We are thrilled to help make a difference for cancer patients from all across Grey Bruce," said Paul Larche, President of Larche Communications, parent company of 92.3 The Dock.

The Dock broadcast live from the main lobby of the hospital on Wednesday and Thursday between 6 am and 9 pm. Volunteers received hundreds of donations online, dropped off in person or made by telephone. Donations can still be made by visiting www.radioforoncology.com.

cancer careThis year, Radio for Oncology is helping to purchase three new microscopes and other laboratory equipment used by the hospital's team of five Pathologists to diagnose cancer and other disease. Each day, the Lab produces about 400 biopsy slides for examination under the microscope.
